About me
I am a licensed practitioner for psychotherapy (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie), a passionate couples therapist, and a coach.
For more than 20 years, I have accompanied people through processes of change. Today, my work focuses primarily on couples.
I am convinced that life is about relationships. There is hardly any other area where our patterns, desires, and limitations are as clearly evident as in partnerships. And that is precisely where the greatest potential for growth and healing lies—in honest contact with the person closest to us.
This conviction has grown not only professionally, but also personally. My own experiences with relationships, intimacy, separation, and new beginnings have taught me that crises do not have to mean the end—they often mark the beginning of development.
My approach combines Positive Psychology with Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family System (IFS) and other effective methods from systemic and hypno-systemic work.
Working with people from different countries and cultural or religious backgrounds is something I especially value. Extended stays in Switzerland, Span, the United States, and parts of Asia, the United States, and parts of Asia have shaped my perspective and allow me to feel at home in cross-cultural work. I bring an open and non-judgmental attitude, together with sensitivity to different cultural influences and ways of understanding relationship and family.
Underlying my work is a simple belief: that life is not happening to us, but for us. Or, as the psychologist and management trainer Jens Corssen, whose work I deeply admire, expresses it: “Life is my coach”
